LLB Memorial Tournament Fundraiser
Join us on August 8th (Braun's Birthday Weekend) from 11:15am-4pm at the Peninsula Racquet Club, as we celebrate the life and legacy of Braun Levi for our annual fundraiser event.
** The Live Like Braun Foundation is a 501(c)(3) fiscally sponsored by The Edward Charles Foundation. All donations through Edward Charles Foundation are designated for the Live Like Braun Foundation. A portion of your ticket price is a tax-deductible donation, and you will receive a tax acknowledgment letter for that amount.
Live Like Braun Memorial Tennis Tournament Format
- Door opens at 11am, check in starts at 11:15am, and play starts at 12pm sharp
- Emcee Kit Hoover from Access Hollywood
- Honorary chair: Pam Shriver
- You will sign up as a doubles team; there will be alternates
- Live Ball: Doubles teams are guaranteed 2-hours of doubles live ball competition across three divisions, based on level
- Top two doubles teams from each division will compete in a tie-breaker to determine the winner
- Recommended for high school age and above; teams may be mixed age and gender
Braun's Story
Braun Levi was 18 years old — a tennis player, a natural leader, and the kind of person who lit up every room he walked into. His life was tragically cut short by an alleged drunk driver. The Live Like Braun Foundation honors Brauns legacy awarding scholarships to deserving graduates, educating about the dangers of impaired driving, and rebuilding tennis centers. In just one year, we have awarded 5 community mission-aligned grants and 11 post high-school scholarships, we've reached 2,000+ students in DUI awareness workshops, and have reached millions. Your participation in this day and donation keeps Braun's legacy and our programs alive.
This will be a day filled with the joy of tennis in its purest form. Braun loved the game - not just for the competition, but for the friendships, the challenge, and the sheer beauty of the sport. Come honor Braun's legacy and experience the connection and joy that tennis brings to all of us.
